Govert, Rene, Fons and/or Whom it May Concern, A few months ago, I posted a question about a similar problem that I was having. A difference was that my message indicated a problem with the <RootX11IOErrorHandler> as opposed to Goverts' problem with <RootX11ErrorHandler>. I append at the bottom of this note my post from 7/30/01. For reference, I was (am) running RH7.1 on my local machine here, but I ssh to the a linux farm running RH6.1 to do analysis. On my local machine, I use the KDE Desktop. My problem only surfaced when I attempted to use the 'Draw' command when analyzing large ( > ~ Gbytes) chains.
