Oops sorry, the answer to the question

   http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRoot/QtRoot.html#source

was misplaced. I have fixed this.

I am reluctant to expose this code right now by several reasons.

The code requires some simple corrections of the original ROOT code.

I already sent them to ROOT team a month ago. I hope these corrections
have no side effect and have no impact on the current ROOT rather provide
a way to optimize any TCanvasImp / TVirtualX implementations. (not Qt only)

I anticipate the Qt interface and design have to be changed too
(based on feedback I hope to get from ROOT community ).

Since it contains no WIN32 it should be compiled.
Another question whether it will work properly :-).

Anyway it is the goal to provide the true cross platform implementation
otherwise one can get the same functionality via MFC / WIN32 API

   Thank you, Valeri
