Hi Patrick, Your best bet is to compile your code with ACLiC: root [] .L canpat3.cpp++ You will have to add the proper #include directive and modify any usage of CINT shortcuts but this will give you (most of the time :) ) a much better error message. Cheers, Philippe PS. I dont think that there is currently a way to use the CINT option '-p' which the root executable. However, It can be used with rootcint. -----Original Message----- From: owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch [mailto:owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch]On Behalf Of Patrick Murray Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 4:24 PM To: roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch Subject: [ROOT] Advice I do not know how to follow (fwd) Sorry about that That should be: I assume that this means I lost a { or } somewhere but how do I find it and how do I use the " +P or -p option" ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 25 Jan 2002 14:17:12 -0800 (PST) From: Patrick Murray <pjmurray@mailbox.ucdavis.edu> To: roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch Subject: Advice I do not know how to follow root [8] .L canpat3.cpp Error: Unexpected EOF G__exec_statement() FILE:canpat3.cpp LINE:1935 Advice: You may need to use +P or -p option *** Interpreter error recovered *** root [9] I assume that is means a lost a { or } somewhere but how do I find it and how do I use the " +P or -p option" Thank you, Pat
