Hi !
I tried a few minutes ago to compile the newest development version:

0. cd $ROOTSYS

1. cvs -z3 update -d -P

2. ./configure linuxegcs

3. make

4. this ended with:
Makefile:249: base/src/TDSet.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:249: base/src/TPluginManager.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:249: base/src/TTimeStamp.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:249: base/src/TVirtualMutex.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:249: proof/src/TEventIter.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:249: proof/src/TProofPlayer.d: No such file or directory
Running cint/MAKEINFO
make: *** No rule to make target `treeplayer/inc/TDSet.h', needed by
`treeplayer/src/G__TreePlayer.d'. Stop.

My Platform is a (more or less) Redhat 6.1 CERN version.

Please help, Arno.
