Hi Fons and guys, I am trying to build mySQL stuff under windows (cygwin, VC++). the configure/make is expecting libmysqlclient.lib but it is mysqlclient.lib in mysql installation c:\mysql\include\mysql_com.h(115) : error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'fd' c:\mysql\include\mysql_com.h(115) : error C2501: 'SOCKET' : missing storage-class or type specifiers c:\mysql\include\mysql_com.h(115) : error C2501: 'fd' : missing storage-class or type specifiers It looks like you forgot some flags and headers. It also fails trying to link stuff, complaining about winsock2. mysql msvc example from mysql install works fine. Could you please check it under cygwin? I am using the latest 3.xx version downloaded yesterday.
