Hi,
I have finally tried the solution that you proposed to replace the call
'multigraph->Draw("A")' with 'multigraph->DrawClone("A")' (as the DrawCopy
does not exist for TMultiGraphs), but the result is devastating.
Please, have a look at my original mail:

After the change (that I mention above) no pad-specific graph(s) are
visible and moreover, it seems that the DrawClone does NOT see the
"padXXX->cd()" lines - the multigraph is drawn in the "previous" pad -
that results in the "last" pad being completely empty.
The ROOT is 3.02/07 on a RH6.2/i386 with egcs-1.1.2.
