[ROOT] Running ROOT on MAC OS X

Dear Rooters,
  I am evaluating the option of switching to MAC OS X on my new laptop and I 
am of course very interested in running ROOT on it. As I understand, the core 
of this OS is Darwin (a Unix based on FreeBSD) and I would like to know if 
someone has already tried to install and run ROOT on it. 
How ROOT graphics is integrated in the MAC graphical interface? I suspect the 
MAC is not X11 compatible, but I might be wrong. Is there any feedback about 
this?
