Hi,

In a TClonesArray, you can (in recent version of ROOT) put objects of
the same class (which inherit directly or indirectly from TObject), but
the object can be of different 'size' (where the difference is actually
in the indirect memory foot-print).

Cheers,
Philippe.

Subject: [ROOT] A simple question about TClonesArray

  Hello rooters,
I find the ROOT documentation about TClonesArray confusing. By "identical
objects", do we have to understand:

  - that the objects are of the same class or
  - that the objects must have the same length
  - or both ?

For instance, can we put objects of the same class, like TObString, into a
TClonesArray, although they are not of the same length?
Or can we put object of 2 differents classes, but having the same length,
into a TClonesArray ?
  Thanks for answer
