Dear Rooters For testing purposes I would like to compile root with thread support. Sorrowly, the following config file for root_v3.03.02 on LinuxPPC 2000 ignores checking for libpthread: ./configure linuxppcegcs --with-thread-libdir=/usr/lib/libpthread.so \ --enable-star --disable-cern --disable-mysql --disable-pgsql \ --disable-pythia --disable-pythia6 --disable-rfio --disable-srp Other variations result in "Invalid option ...", e.g. --with-thread=/usr/lib/libpthread.so (suggested by go4/HowToThreads) --with-thread-/usr/lib/libpthread.so --with-thread=-lpthread (suggested by root manual!) --with-thread=-libpthread Can you tell me which option I need to use to compile root for threads? BTW, on LinuxPPC, libpthread is on: /usr/lib/libpthread.so has link to /lib/libpthread.so.0 has link to /lib/libpthread-0.8.so Thank you in advance Best regards Christian ---------------------------------- C.h.r.i.s.t.i.a.n S.t.r.a.t.o.w.a V.i.e.n.n.a, A.u.s.t.r.i.a
