Hi, Here is a tought. What graphics card are you all using? I too found that closing netscape would solve my problem. Fons do you have a "good" graphics card? I believe that the graphics card has some effects and maybe you can not reproduce the problem because you have a different graphics card. I am displaying on a digital 433au with the cheapest graphics card while root is running on a Linux box. If I go to the linux box with a "good" graphics card I do not have the problem.
