OK, run $ROOTSYS/tutorials/cernstaff.C. You get the file cernstaff.root.
Now in a Root session, do:
TFile f("cernstaff.root");
T.SetFillColor(38);
T.Fit("gaus","Age>>hAge","Grade>10","","bar2")
