Hi,

Recently I tried installing ROOT and Carrot on a FreeBSD system of mine. ROOT
itself was no problem to install. Carrot, however, when running
admin/makehtml.C through ROOT generated an error because it was unable to
dynamically load libCarrot.so. It reported the _$_14TInspectCanvas symbol as
being undefined. After some looking around I noticed that it IS defined, but in
the libGpad.so module of ROOT. After looking around in ROOT's source code, my
guess is that the error originates from incorrect dynamic loading methods for
FreeBSD in ROOT. I hope you can perhaps find some time to look into it.

Kind regards,
