[ROOT] Limitations on file size...

Hi,

we are now planning how to write our data to files. Because it is a huge
amount of data per second we want to have as less files as possible. So
my question: What are the limitations in terms of file size (and other
limitations) coming from root? Or does it depend on the underlaying OS?
I tried to find non-outdated informations about it on the web-page, but
I faild to find something with the search engine and the Reference of
TFile doesn't contain any info about it.
