Hi, We have seen similar report before. It seems that it is related to a specific version of KDE (if memory serves) and does not happens with Gnome on the same system. The symptom is that it __seems__ that the Xserver sends the wrong windows ID to ROOT and it closes the windows instead of closing the menu drop-down.
