Hello I suppose this happens within the ROOT-based stand-alone application with the custom main() entry point. This indicates some the synch problem within built-in internal threads of the Windows version. I am not sure if it is possible to eliminate completely since the "core" ROOT is not thread-safe yet. How ever the harm can be significantly reduced by replacing the custom main with the custom DLL + the standard ROOT main subroutine + gSystem->Load method. I think Qt-based version will be more robust (and slightly slower) due the internal lock mechanism of the Qt GUI code. (see: http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRootDownload.html ) Best regards Valeri -----Original Message----- From: GENTIT Francois-Xavier DAPNIA <GENTIT@dapnia.cea.fr> To: 'roottalk@root.cern.ch' <roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch> Date: 1 èþëÿ 2002 ã. 15:41 Subject: [ROOT] "Error SelectPalette for Pixmap-0" Hello rooters, What about the problem "Error SelectPalette for Pixmap-0" I see that other rooters, like Marcos [Marcos.Gimenez@ific.uv.es] are also facing it.
