Hi rooters, some more remarks about the GSI QtROOT interface: When we published the interface in November, 2001, we stated: "The interface is used and tested by Mohammad Al-Turany developing the Go4 GUI in the full complex Go4 environment (multitasking, ROOT threads). The Go4 GUI is developed using the QT designer. The experience is very positive. The combination of ROOT and Qt runs stable. The option of using Qt makes ROOT for us more attractive. At GSI the development of Go4 is concentrated on Linux. Currently it is not envisioned to implement Go4 on other platforms. Therefore we cannot contribute much to the WNT discussion or the "ROOT & Qt, Swing, GUIs, Graphics Abstraction" thread." This is still true. For the ones who do not believe that full ROOT GUIs run with Qt based GUI, have a look to the example as distributed with the package. For convenience I made a demo screen movie running the example1 you can look at from http://go4.gsi.de -> movies If somebody is testing the package itself, we would appreciate to get feed back about bugs or missing functionality.
