Hello Mike
Sorry for some delay.
The short answer is "yes of courcse it is possible". You have to compile
Pythia and create libPythia6.DLL. NOthing ROOT specila hear.
I think you can find more detail with roottalk search engine.
I'll provide further detail as soon as I have more stable E-mail connection
(in a couple of days). Sorry and best rgerads, Valeri

Subject: [ROOT] Pythia on windows
Hi all, I have been using the root interface to pythia under linux.
There
I build the shared library myself via a makefile that I found on the
root
web page. I then have a simple macro that works via:
{
gSystem->Load("libEG");
gSystem->Load("libEGPythia6");
gSystem->Load("libPythia6");
...
}
I wondered if it is possible to build the libPythia6 library under
windows
using Visual Studio and then use the root interface? I imagine it means
that you have to build libPthia6.dll yourself somehow, and I have no
idea
how to do it! Can anyone offer some help or an example? Thanks, Mike
