[ROOT] Principal Component Analysis

Hi,

out of aimless curiosity, I wanted to run subj. (on some spam filtering
results), and since Google pointed me to the example in ROOT, I've
installed it (version 3.03/05) and now I'm trying to wrap my head around
it...

When I run the example (principal.C), everything seems to work fine
until I get a ROOT Object Browser window with the Covariance Matrix,
Eigenvalue vector, Eigenvector Matrix, Mean value vector, Sigma value
vector and pca_e objects. I can double-click pca_e and get a graph of
eigenvalues - but when I double-click any other object (I'm especially
interested in the eigenvector matrix), nothing happens... The
Eigenvector Matrix has a local menu, but no item in it shows the matrix
as a matrix - it either shows summary information (the Inspect command),
or asks for some option (the DrawClone command).

I get a feeling that I'm not using ROOT as intended - but is it really
so unreasonable to consider the eigenvectors being a part of the result
of PCA? How do I get to see them?

	Bye
		Vasek
