Hello Otto,

It should be possible to use 'long long' even now, but
you need to go through few steps beyond standard ROOT
installation procedure.  Basically, you need long.dll
which is generated by pure Cint package. If you download
Cint source package and run setup script with appropriate
platform file, it tries to generate $CINTSYSDIR/include/long.dll. 
If you find this file, copy it as $ROOTSYS/cint/include/long.dll.
If you do not find this, it is likely long.dll has platform
dependent problem.
