[ROOT] running root at cern

Dear rooters,
since yesterday in the afternoon (at least) I cannot run root on my lxplus
anymore.
As it has been since I'm using it, I set the environment variables:

setenv ROOTSYS /afs/cern.ch/na49/library.4/ROOT/new/@sys/root
setenv PATH ${PATH}:${ROOTSYS}/bin
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH ${ROOTSYS}/lib

in my .tcshrc file.
When I try to run root the shell answers:

root: Command not found.

and when I try to go to the ROOTSYS directory I get the message:

/afs/cern.ch/na49/library.4/ROOT/new/@sys/root: No such file or directory.

What should I do to solve this problem?
Thank you for your attention, best regards

pietro
