Hi rooters, I saw the following behaviour of root many many times: After a macro using gui stuff (eg displays histograms) crashes, everything I type into the command line is redirected to /dev/nul (means I don't see anything). On Linux I can workaround this by starting an ftp session which I immediatly quit. Seems, that ftp is 'repairing' the left-over redirection from root. On Alpha machines I didn't find a workaround yet. However, is it possible to make sure, that the redirection is fixed in any case root crashed (exepcion handler?)? This would be very very usefull... Thanks, Thomas.
