Hi Rene,

The problem still persists.  I downloaded the new win32gdk.tar.gz file and
still have the same problem.  The file size was indeed different, but when I
try running ROOT, I still get "The application failed to initialize
properly".

It seems that the file was truncated during a file copy.
Could you try again and let me know.
