Hi Tanja, According to your mail, root.exe is located as /usr/local/bin/root.exe. Hence, ROOTSYS=/usr/local and root libraries should be in $ROOTSYS/lib, i.e. in /usr/local/lib. But you've wrote that root libraries are located in /usr/local/lib/root/ which is one level down and is not in the $LD_LIBRARY_PATH. There is some mismatching between root binary programs and root libraries: either root.exe should be in /usr/local/root/bin, or libraries should be in /usr/local/lib. Yuri Kharlov.
