[ROOT] error in X handling?

I've just started seeing this (devastating) error message:

root [0] Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) (XID: 12582971, XREQ: 55)

with 3.04.02. It seems to have started with 3.03. I do not see it in 3.02.07.

I am running this on linux (rh72) in a TeraTerm terminal window running from XP and X-Win32 5.31 as x-server. I'm guessing this is an interaction with the x-server. Other people using different ones are not seeing the error.

Any clues on what aspect of the x-server I should be looking at to track this down?

Thanks,

Richard
