Hi Silvia, With your version of Root, The stats box inherits the TStyle options when the histogram is drawn for the first time. The only way in your version to enable/disable to stats/fit option is by clicking on the stats box and select the menu option SetOptFit/SetOptStat. I have fixed this problem in the development version in CVS where you can set the stats/fit options either globally from the canvas Option menu or via the stats box.
