[ROOT] porting code to gcc-3.2.2

Hi,
This is not strictly root related, but ...
While trying to "move" from (root +) gcc-2.95.3 to (root +) gcc-3.2.2
I get tons of errors related to "cmath" saying "sqrt(int)" is ambiguous
("double sqrt(double)", "float sqrt(float)", ...).
Is there any easy way to fix this (it's not only "sqrt" - also "sin",
"cos", ... and it's not only "int" - also "short", "long", "char", ...).
I would need a "general" solution ...
