Hi,
I have installed root 3.05/03 on Red hat Linux 8, PC and compiled.
It works fine in that machine.
I get an error with this version when I do the following.
I am in another machine ( IRIX ). I set xhost + in that machine and
log onto Linux machine where the ROOT is installed. Then I set the
display, setenv DISPLAY (ipaddress of IRIX machine):0.0 so that when I run
root I get the xwindow on the screen of IRIX machine. Then I get the following
error and do not give me the root window. (see below)
I don't see this problem, when I log on from another Linux machine to this Linux machine and run ROOT. It works fine.
This happens ONLY WHEN I try to run ROOT login from a IRIX machine to
the Linux machine.
Also, I do the same thing with the previous ROOT version 3.00/06
and I don't see this problem. I can run ROOT logon to Linux machine from the
IRIX machine and It works fine.
Can somebody help me to solve this problem.
Thank you,
Gunasingha.
