Hi, I've just downloaded the ROOT v3.05/03 binaries for RH7.3/gcc3.2 (I'm running a RH7.1 machine with gcc3.2 installed separately, but operating as the default compiler), but I get the following series of messages when trying to run root: root: /home/morgan/lib/libstdc++.so.5: no version information available (required by root) /scratch/morgan/root/root/bin/root.exe: /home/morgan/lib/libstdc++.so.5: no version information available (required by /scratch/morgan/root/root/bin/root.exe) /scratch/morgan/root/root/bin/root.exe: /home/morgan/lib/libstdc++.so.5: no version information available (required by /scratch/morgan/root/root/lib/libCore.so) and so on for the other ROOT libraries. Having said this, my code/scripts compile/run without complaint, but there is obviously a problem here! I'm not sure whether this is due to the configuration of gcc, a gcc -v gives: Reading specs from /home/morgan/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/specs Configured with: ./configure --prefix=/home/morgan Thread model: posix gcc version 3.2 But could it also be due to running the ROOT binaries for RH7.3 on a 7.1 machine? Any advice would be gratefully received, thanks!
