Hi, I've created some web pages on building ROOT on Win. * MSVC.NET: hints and tweaks (and a more or less generic howto). Includes a script that creates an MSVC project file filled with ROOT's source files (mirroring ROOT's subdir structure), a howto on getting browser info for ROOT's sources automatically, and another (batch) script that allows you to press MSVC's F7 to build everything. * GCC: This one is pretty generic, assuming only that the reader knows how to get cygwin setup. It includes some tweaks as well, like automatic ROOTSYS setting (nice if you have a win32 and a win32gcc build), and hints on how to improve cygwin's x11. I know there are tons of pages out there about ROOT and Win, but mine are rather specialized, so don't delete yours :-] And let me know if you get stuck somewhere, trying to reproduce what the web pages tell you. Here's the address: http://root.axel-naumann.de Cheers, Axel.
