[ROOT] Difference in gif vs eps saved canvases

Hello all, not sure if this a recent problem. I'm using 
gStyle->SetFillColor (0) to make all the backgrounds to plots white, which 
is what i get on screen and in saved gif files, but not in saved eps 
files. I get a standard root grey pad and histogram and a white legend box 
when i save the canvas to eps. This is with root-3.05.05 compiled with 
gcc-2.96rh on rh7.3.
