Hi Tohru,

 I have just tried what you suggested:

root [1] gStyle->SetFillColor(0)
root [2] TCanvas foo

 Then I produced the ps and gif files from the canvas' File menu. They are 
both white. I did the test on Linux with Root 3.05.05. What color do you 
get in the gif and ps files ?
