Dear ROOTers, I wondered what exactly the functionality of TRegexp is. The class documentation text just states "Regular expression class". So what are exactly the used meta characters, and what matching features are supported ? Different implementations vary quite a bit in these details (e.g. awk and perl), and it's important to understand this.
