Mr Naumann, I was very interested in discovering your web site http://www.muenster.de/~naumana/root.html <http://www.muenster.de/~naumana/root.html> In particular, it seems that you have discovered the way to use .NET starting from a makefile (which ends in .bat and not .mak) on the condition to dispose of cygwin. Personally, I have tried without success to start VC++.NET from a makefile (old type of makefile, ending in .mak). I have described the way I work with VC++.NET (without makefile) at: http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~gentit/ <http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~gentit/> but my way of working with VC++.NET does not satisfy me and I would prefer very much to work, like you, with makefiles. So I have made a full download of cygwin (and even of KDE) on my PC. I think it would be very interesting for me and probably for a lot of other users of ROOT if you could write a third web page, explaining how to compile and link a ROOT application with VC++.NET starting from a makefile (even if this makefile had to be produced using cygwin). I suggest for example the "Event" example in root/test. Thanks a lot in advance if you can find the time to do it. F.X.Gentit DAPNIA/SPP CEA Saclay http://gentit.home.cern.ch/gentit/
