Hi Greg,

You can plot a 2-D histogram with the option "ARR".
See example at:
http://root.cern.ch/root/htmldoc/THistPainter.html#THistPainter:PaintArrows

We do not have this option for 3-d histograms, but we had a few requests
recently. Volunteers for an implementation are welcome.
