Hi Thomas,

you probably did not install the g2c sub-package of gcc (SuSE is
rather granular here). After installing it, the libg2c should be
available. If it is installed but not available via the name
"libg2c.so.0" you might want to put a symbolic link in /usr/lib.

If you are running SuSE 8.1 I can provide you with cernlib and Root
RPMs I have built for that system.
