Hi there I have just noticed that selecting X3D from the canvas View menu gives the following error : Error in <TRegexp::Index>: Bad Regular Expression and no X3D viewer appears. This happens e.g. if I run "shapes" or "geometry/na49" from the demo toolbar, or if I run rootgeom.C (due to gPad->x3d() at the end of the script). I am sure this is due to a configuration problem on my machine, but I have just verified my './configure' options and done a completely fresh checkout and compilation of the CVS head version. Here are my './configure' options : ./configure linux --disable-asimage --enable-exceptions --enable-mysql --with-mysql-libdir=/usr/lib/mysql --with-mysql-incdir=/usr/include/mysql --with-x11-libdir=/usr/X11R6/lib --with-xpm-libdir=/usr/X11R6/lib --enable-thread --with-thread-libdir=/usr/lib --enable-opengl --with-opengl-libdir=/usr/lib --with-opengl-incdir=/usr/include --enable-cern --enable-rfio --enable-soversion --with-cern-libdir=$CERNLIB --with-shift-libdir=$CERNLIB Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong ? As the TGeo* classes don't yet work with OpenGL (as I observed and then verified in the roottalk digest) not having X3D working is not helping me to see all the wonderful detector geometries I'm not succeeding in creating !!! :-D Thanks a lot John PS. redhat 8 machine with gcc3.2 -- ganil logo <http://www.ganil.fr> John D.
