[ROOT] How to confirm h2root utility is included in my version of root

Hi:

I have Root version 3.02.07 installed on my computer, the install having been done by someone else. I need to convert PAW hbook files into root format. I know the conversion is done by h2root, a utility program that is supposed to be included in the Root Development Kit (is the Development Kit the same as the Root program versions available for download on the Root download page?).

I have tried to convert hbook files to root files using the command "h2root" which, from all I have read, is to be executed from the Linux command line outside of the Root environment. All I get is a "command not found" response.

I understand that using the above mentioned command means that h2root is an executable program, apparently named h2root.exe that should be located in the root/bin directory. I am using Mandrake Linux 9.0, and Root is installed in the /usr/local/bin directory, i.e the path is /usr/local/bin/root and so h2root should be found in /usr/local/bin/root/bin, should it not?

However, the following are the only contents of this directory: cint, makecint, proofd, proofserv, rmkdepend, root, rootcint, rootd, root.exe, rootn.exe, root-config, memprobe. I do not see h2root.exe anywhere.

Is this where the utility program h2root should be found? Is it possible that I do not have this program in my version of Root? What filename should I look for to confirm whether or not I have h2root installed on my system, and where should I look to confirm this? Should I download and install another version of Root, as for some unkown reason my current version is missing the h2root program?

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer to enable me to determine if h2root is on my system, which is a standalone PC.
