[ROOT] another win32->gdk migration question: standalone application

Hello,
I have a standalone application that uses some root functionality, but no
graphics. This application works
as expected under win32 (3.05/5), but when I link against gdk libraries
(3.05/7) it behaves badly: When the
app is waiting for input (unrelated to root) its using 100% of the cpu time.
My standalone application never had
an instantiation of TApplication before (must be done automagically) so I
explicitly added it. Now it no longer
eats up unneccessary cpu, but it does display the ROOT splash screen. How
can I make the splash screen
go away? Adding the "-l" option to TApplication::TApplication() has no
effect. Thanks.

I am running on Win2k.

Ed
