  that would be indeed nice, but currently I use the software that is
part of majordomo and I've not much time to look for something else. If
you know of a drop-in solution that generates better digests, please let
me know. You might also be interested to signup to our new RootTalk
forum (see http://root.cern.ch/phpBB2/).
