Hi Elliot,

With the rootd in the current cvs head it is easy to turn on and off
certain authentication methods. See the file $ROOTSYS/etc/rpdauth.allow.
In this file, which is read by rootd and proofd one can specify in
detail which method of authentication is allowed andfor which hosts.

With older version of rootd, you need to comment out the revelant code and
rebuild it.

Cheers,
Philippe.

Hi,

I am starting rootd via an inetd entry. It wasn't clear to
me how to restrict rootd to only use one type of authentication.
In particular, I would like to ensure that only kerberos can
be used to access a file via rootd.

Thank you.
