Hi, I would like to create files greater than the current 2 GB restriction. I found this an old mail related to root files > 2 GB from Norbert Danneberg "Large Files" and the reply from Rene which dates from Thu Jul 29 1999. In it is stated that "One of the TFile data members fUnits describe the number of bytes for the pointers in the file. Currently fUnits=4. Setting fUnits to 8 to get 64 bits pointers requires a few more changes (typedef for Seek_t in particular)." Has anyone performed these changes ? Thanks, Karl
