Hi,
    I will give concrete instructions on how I see this problem.

1. Load a file at the prompt and start a viewer on the tree
root [0] TFile f("treefile.root")
root [1] tree.StartViewer()
    for a file containing a tree named tree.

2. Right click on the right pane of the viewer and select "NewExpression".
3. Double-click the new expression and enter an expression and an alias.
4. From the File menu click "Save source".
5. Restart ROOT and execute the treeviewer.C file that was just created.

When I do this, the viewer that comes up does not have the new
expression I created before saving the source. Do you see the same
behavior?

Dan
