I'll have to wait for 3.10 to come back on the market then,
because this definitely doesn't work with 3.05/07.
(With 3.05/05 it works).

3.05/07 RH9 gcc 3.2.2 - no
3.05/05 RH7.3 gcc 2.96 - yes
