[ROOT] ROOT 2004 Users Workshop at SLAC

  We are pleased to announce that the 2004 ROOT Users Workshop will take
place on 25, 26 and 27 February, 2004 at the Stanford Linear Accelerator
Center (SLAC). The web page for the workshop is:

Information on workshop registration, accomodation and a form for
submitting abstracts for presentations at the workshop are all linked from
the workshop main page. We are particularly interested by talks in the 
following categories:

    * Use of Root as a general framework.
    * Experience with I/O, comparing different solutions using Trees or 
      other mechanisms.
    * Use of the Root/CINT dictionary to implement interfaces with foreign 
      systems.
    * Use of the GUI and graphics classes.
    * Use in DAQ, Real time systems and client/servers.
    * Distributed applications on the GRID.
    * Statistical Analysis tools and classes.
    * We also invite participants to come with questions, comments, proposals 
      to be discussed in a special Q&A session.

  We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the workshop.
