[ROOT] Named Script

How can i run directly a named script with parameter from root command ?

if  I try with

[piccioli@pcclue3]$ root simulate.C(1)

I obtain..

bash: syntax error near unexpected token `simulate.C(1'


My Root Version is

FreeType Engine v2.1.3 used to render TrueType fonts.
Compiled for linux with thread support.

CINT/ROOT C/C++ Interpreter version 5.15.74, Feb 2 2003
Type ? for help. Commands must be C++ statements.
Enclose multiple statements between { }.
