Hi Rene, The script could be started in rootn.exe, but when I tried to ctrl-c, it generated segv. Attached is the gdb report as well as the script. If I compiled the code with -lNews as an executable and tried to run it, it gave error messages about TMapfile, as shown on my previous report. Hope these two problems are "correlated". I am suspecting something wrong with my root build ... Thanks a lot!
