hi

i am using 
WindowsXP/NT/w2000 with VC++ 7.0, version 3.10/01 (good old tar
file) **WIN32GDK** 

and i have the same problem. there is no libMySQL.so

what do i do?

  does you ROOT distribution come with $ROOTSYS/lib/libMySQL.so?
Which version of ROOT are you using?
