Dear Remi

First, I am sorry to hear that you had a HD crash.

To get you up-to-date: The example (testconnect) is still the same
and I am really glad to hear that you have exactly the same problems
as I do. This confirms that there is a general problem.

Eddie was so kind to suggest an alternative way to compile root,
and some tests such as using otool, but sorrowly, these suggestions
could not solve the problem. At the moment it seems that Eddie has
an older version of Fink which may make the difference since our
Apple tools are the same.

I have just compiled nedit from the unstable package tree of fink,
which has the effect that under X11 I can no longer use my mouse
buttons correctly. I cannot even switch from nedit to xterm any
longer.
For this reason I am now going to delete /sw completely and rebuild
fink from scratch. I will see if this may solve the problem or not.

Best regards and thank you, too for your willingness to help.
Christian
