Dear Eddy

Thank you for this suggestion, however, browsing Google
gives the feeling that it may not be enough to simply
call "make static"
Further suggestions are:
./configure --enable-static
set LDFLAGS="-static" in my environment

Do you know if it is enough to call "make static" or
are other settings also necessary?

P.S.: Do you think your email problems are problems
of roottalk or of yahoo?
