Hello,

I'm trying to install ROOT on Linux RedHat9 (on a virtual machine of
VMware), and I'm following instructions of the installation page
(<http://root.cern.ch/root/Install.html>). But I can not do ./configure ...
I have read that it's because I have not libXpm library. So I installed
libXpm.a and libXpm.so.4.10 in /lib/xpm/ (and in /usr/local/lib/) but it
doesn't work, even specifying the path with flag --with-... . I have also
read in a previous message of roottalk
(<http://root.cern.ch/root/roottalk/roottalk02/4931.html>) that it would
not be enough to do that, we also need to install all XFree86-devel-...
package.
Could you tell me all what I have to do to be able to use ./configure,
please ?

Thank you.

Matthieu.
